Administration of Justice
The Administration of Justice program (AOJ) is designed to provide professional courses in AOJ fields for the pre-service student, and for the criminal justice employee preparing for promotional exams or to upgrade or maintain skills and knowledge. At Shasta College, you will receive occupational training for both the entrance and promotional levels of AOJ agencies and allied services. With additional general education courses, you will also be able to fulfill the requirements to transfer to a four-year college with junior standing. A variety of agencies exist at the federal, state, and local levels of government; and also through private industry.
Computer Information Systems
Shasta College offers courses that prepare students for the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) industry certification exam. Students completing either of these certifications will have a solid foundation of skills and knowledge that can lead to a successful career in the Computer Networking field. Most entry-level positions have salaries around $35,000 per year depending on geographical location. It is recommended that students completing the CCNA classes at Shasta College also complete the complementary course work for a certificate or degree in computer networking.

Learning to operate heavy equipment has always developed employable skills essential to many occupations. The Equipment Operations & Maintenance Certificate program offered by Shasta College emphasizes the “learning-by-doing” method of instruction on modern up-to-date equipment. With an eight-acre training site and storm water pollution prevention training, you are sure to experience your education.
Courses in heavy duty diesel technology are designed to give the student entry-level job skills. The skills obtained at Shasta College will enable a student to enter into a diesel technology career. Heavy duty diesel technicians can expect to work outdoors as much as indoors. A heavy duty diesel technician should also expect to buy their own hand tools since the employer usually does not supply these items. The diesel technician works on every type of equipment - from automobiles to trucks, tractors, and even boats.
The Automotive Technology Program offers an Associate of Science Degree, a certificate program, and a complete Bureau of Automotive Repair emissions program. We offer day and evening courses.
The Welding Technology Program at Shasta College is an American Welding Society Testing Facility for entry-level welders. The program is designed to enable you to secure a high-paying position as a certified welder or to help you meet necessary qualifications for other positions that require welding skills.
